I don't know what else to call it when someone comes into a conversation that ended completely nearly two months before and the first thing they do is respond not to the original poster, but someone else who responded to the original Just because you expect the background to be blue or the start button to have the word "START" typed across it doesn't mean it still doesn't work the same/asĦ. Them as a crutch while learning the new interface, others will just keep them in place for good.

Who said buy - did I say buy? Did you actually look at the web links and dozens of links on it for FREE (*note* - you don't "buy" free) add-ons? Windows 8 works fine without those add-ons to make it look and act like more like Windows 7. (those who will still be around long enough to buy the next version) will likely continue to use mainly the new interface. People see what is likely going to happen (already did) for computing in the future and then get back their old interface after ~12 months of having to learn the new interface and by then - it's not that big of a deal as many I think it was probably wise to choose the side If they changed everything drastically, they innovated but people would be complaining on the other side of the equation. They would not have been innovating, people would complain on one side of the equation. Why do I say that? If they had left everything the same. Especially if the options are added in to switch more easily (although it is fairly easy now) between old and new Windows layouts. Pure opinion and it likely accomplished what it was meant to. If you want to go with "value added", I can concede that.Ĥ.

Search works fine and could be used to get the full path. My answer was correct in that there is no guarantee when you buy a newer edition of a product (any product) it will come with orĪllow you to use accessories from older versions of the product.ģ. The original question was for "Paintbrush" and accessories that came with previous versions of Windows. You said, "Microsoft has finally admitted", not "Others speculate that Microsoft could be modifying Windows 8 because."Ģ. Those are third-parties speculating what Windows Blue may be/what Microsoft's plans may be. Your comment about 'just to attack someone' is just as silly as your original reply: unhelpful and irrelevant.ġ. Fine to have it as option for those who want, but forcing that handicapped user interface upon millionsĦ.

The idea moving everything around? What's the benefit having to waste hours to find things again? There is no benefit. Had it been my own PC, I would have gone back to Windows 7.

I get annoyed every time I have to help my daughter find something on her Windows 8 horror, wasting time every time to find things I knew how to find on previous Windows versions. Those who designed it really must be idiots for not having predicted the hostile reception andĬonfusion. A major part of the world's desktops and laptops run Windows, and it was predictable that turning the user interface upside down would be controversial. That has been the result of Windows 8 which has slowed down the entire

Software editors produce the software they want, and customers criticise the software they don't like as much as they want, and if they don't like it, they probably don't buy it. They may change their mind later and modify things to make more money off it (it could be called "listening to your customers" - but it allĬomes down to staying in business and making money, eh?) - but it's there's to do with as they please. Strangely - when someone creates a product and sells it - they do get to do what they want and sell to whom they want.

Why are you giving an answer *again* that was already given in the conversation ( and acknowledge several times ) six months before? Just to attack someone?

Quoting only part of a given answer *is* silly. No -it's not "silly" nor was it my complete answer. Microsoft has admitted nothing that I know of (of the sort you indicate) - if you know of otherwise - a link to back up what you say would be advised. it should have been made opt-in, not mandatory for all. Millions of users who don't want that interface to work with it. I know that some users like the horror, and that's fine so long as they don't force the

All those of us who just want to get done what we have to do would be better off sticking to Windows 7 until Microsoft fixes the broken user interface on Windows 8.
